2007
- July-September – Focus groups meet in congregations to discuss questions for profile
- October 3-8 – Bishop Search Committee gathers information for profile at Clergy Retreat and Diocesan Convention
- By the end of October a link from the Diocesan website to the Bishop’s Search web page will be established
- November 26th the final draft of the Bishop’s Profile will be completed
- December 1st the Profile will be submitted to the Standing Committee to review and act on at their December 8th meeting
- Mid December draft nominee questions and nomination form will be completed
2008
- February 8 - Nominations Open. Deployment Officer will post opening for the Election of the 8th Bishop of Alaska with the National Church Deployment Office.
- February - May - All four Deanery meetings will be attended by local Search Committee members to provide information and education on the search process
- April 30th Nominations/Application close
- May1
- August 31 - Discernment of all candidates
- September - Onsite visits to candidates
- October – Background checks of nominees
- November – Announce Nominees
- December – Petition process open (first two weeks)
- December – January Background checks for Petitioners
2009
- January – Walkabouts (Nominees visit Alaska)
- January 22-25 – Electing Convention of New Bishop held at St. Mary’s in Anchorage
- March – April Transition of new Bishop
- May 2 – Installation of the 8th Bishop of Alaska in Anchorage
